Why you should watch “Grease Live!” tonight

Tonight at 7/6c on Fox you can watch a live remake of the classic musical, “Grease.” After “The Wiz” and “Peter Pan” performed beautifully live on TV, we can only expect the same from “Grease Live!”

With many familiar faces (see no. 5) and songs, how could you not what to tune in? But in case you need some more convincing, here are five reasons to grab your poodle skirts and hair gel and enjoy:

1. Aaron Tveit

Stud doesn’t even begin to give Tveit justice. And with his background in television and Broadway productions, he is going to be in his element tonight.

2. Updated Handjive

We all know the original dance move and probably bust it out after a few drinks, but it’s time for an update. You can learn it here.

3. Anything Could Happen

You get the fun of theatre from the comfort of your home! As with any live production, anything and everything could happen. Fallen sets, forgotten lines or some trips and slips — you’ll have to watch to see the good and the bad.

4. It’s a Classic

Everyone has seen “Grease” —  if you haven’t, for shame — and now it’s time to show the upcoming generation how great the ‘50s were.

5. All the Celebrities

Julianne Hough, Carly Rae Jepsen, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Keke Palmer and Jessie J (to name a few) are going to be appearing in the production. Even some original cast members are making a cameo.
