10 festival must haves

Festival season is upon us, and we are more than ready for crazy good music and even crazier people singing and dancing along.

But, in order to make your festival day(s) an experience you will never forget, you’ll need to be prepared. Here are the top 10 must-haves for all festival-goers:

1.Reliable bag

First things first, you’re gonna need a reliable bag to carry all of your shit. We recommend something handsfree like a fanny pack, crossbody bag or backpack. Be sure to check any rules or regulations the festival may have – some have size restrictions.

2. Sunscreen

It’s gonna be hot. Don’t regret your decision to stay out for that band you didn’t really like, but gave a chance anyway and lotion up. SPF 30 to SPF 50 should get the job done. Also, remember to reapply.

3. Deodorant

The sun might not only burn you, but make you stink, and it’s more than like you’re gonna be in close proximity of a whole bunch of people. Not to mention, hanging off your friends for Insta pics. Carry a small thing of deodorant to freshen up on the spot. And don’t be shy about it – everyone should be thanking you rather than judging.

4. Dry shampoo

Keep your hair selfie-ready with some dry shampoo. This will help you to feel so fresh and so clean even when you aren’t.

5. Wipes

Remember those crazy people we mentioned? Do you know where their hands have been? No. Take some hand wipes to clean yourself up (you’ll probably be using portapotties) or any sketchy surfaces.

6. Portable charger

Chances are that your phone will be an integral part of the day. From taking pictures and videos to finding your friends, you don’t want to run out of battery. So, be sure to bring a portable charger (a solar one is even better) to get some additional battery.

7. Earplugs

While you want to remember the experience, you want to be able to hear when people ask you about it. Protect your hearing by packing some earplugs.

8. Instant printer

Be cute and print out any pics you take right away! This can be a fun way to make new friends and will entertain you and your crew during the downtime between your favorite acts.

9. Cute accessories

No, we’re not over Flash tattoos. Have fun accessorizing with them! Also, cover yourself in braided and beaded bracelets to really get that festival vibe going. Lastly, a big floppy hat is not only fashionable, but practical as it will keep the sun off of your face.

10. A large blanket

Lastly, you’re gonna need somewhere to rest your feet. Bring along a large, lightweight blanket so everyone in your entourage can rest when they’re too tired from dancing.
