Recipe: Chocolate covered waffles 2 ways

It’s that time of the year when you have an excuse to show someone in your life how special they are to you. Sticking to the basics means you can’t really go wrong, and for Valentine’s Day that means breakfast in bed!

Now you don’t actually have to bring this into bed — it might get pretty messy — but you can wake up your significant other with this heart-themed breakfast.

And if you’re not into February’s holiday, women usually enjoy waking up to chocolate covered anything all year round.

Ingredients & Supplies

  • ½ C of chocolate
  • Heart-shaped waffle maker
  • Handful of strawberries
  • Powdered sugar

  1. Melt your chocolate in the microwave or double boiler, being sure to stir regularly
  2. Follow whatever waffle/pancake mix you have
  3. Decorate how you wish!

Place your waffle on a plate, dizzle some chocolate on top, and place some strawberries in the center. You can pair this one with some sides that they can smear on top, such as peanut butter or syrup.

Break up your hearts and let them cool. Take every other slice and dip half of it into the melted chocolate. Place them in a circle alternation chocolate, plain, etc. Then coat with powdered sugar and add some strawberries.
