The best brunch in the country is only a city away

Avocado toast, lobster corn dogs, chicken and waffles, mimosas – who doesn’t love brunch when there’s something for everyone? Luckily, you don’t have to travel far for the best mid-morning meal in the States, as it’s only a heel’s click away.

This month, Travel + Leisure released its annual America’s Favorite Places survey and coming in at no. 1 on its America’s Favorite Cities for Brunch was Fort Lauderdale beating out other greats, including Knoxville, TN, Charleston, SC and Scottsdale, AZ. Each took the second, third and fourth spots, respectively, out the hundreds of cities and towns judged all across the country.

So, what makes Fort Lauderdale the place to be in your Sunday’s best? According to Travel + Leisure, it’s what we’re not used to seeing in our brunch buffet that scored the city its standing.

The article reads, “Beachside, locals enjoy seafood towers at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort, and spicy pork belly hash—made with poblano chili—at S3 (short for Sun, Surf, Sand). Head inland for Italian-influenced Louie Bossi’s, on restaurant-lined Las Olas Boulevard. At brunch time, you can eat bubbly-crusted pizzas with bellinis and a bocce ball court.”

You can also check out American Social Bar & Restaurant, Rok:Brgr, Tap 42 and Bull Market which are known for serving up the best for brunch.

Where will you be chowing down after this weekend’s lie in?
