Low airfare deals bombard my email on the reg. And, if your inbox is anything like mine, a quick flight from Fort Lauderdale to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos is definitely within budget. So, while most of the resorts on the island aren’t entry level salary-friendly (AirBNB is your best bet), there are still some cool places completely worth the ticket. Here are a few hot spots you shouldn’t miss when exploring Provo:
Lemon 2 Go
Didn’t think you’d rise and grind on vacation? You’ll want to with Lemon 2 Go. A shared space with a local florist, you can wake up with a nice cup of coffee and smell the roses. Then, you can relax outside before making your way to the beach.
A little shopping is necessary when you’re on vacation. West Indie is a fun mix of adorable, more mainstream clothing and unique, boho knick knacks. You’ll probably be dishing out a pretty penny here, so be sure to get something memorable, like one of their Tricks and Chaos pieces.
When you’re staying in such lofty resorts and treating yourself to amazing views, you need to ground yourself. Retreat Kitchen allows you to do just that with vegan foods and fresh juices. Be sure to check it out after your yoga practice right next door at Retreat Yoga.
Grace Bay Beach
For years, Grace Bay beach has been known as one of the best beaches of the world. The waters are the perfect shade of aqua, and the sand is just like talcum powder. But, if you’re a true Floridian, you can most definitely find similar waters down in the Keys and central springs. However, that doesn’t mean your Instagram engagement wouldn’t mind a little uptake.
Point Grace Resort & Spa
Three hour spa treatment, on the beach, in a private cabana, for $300. Need I say more? Off of Grace Bay Road is the Thalasso Spa that consists of two, coastal white cabanas where your spa treatments are performed with open windows, beach breezes, and an outdoor shower. With extremely reasonable prices, do not skip out on getting one of their spa packages.
Provo in Turks and Caicos is puppy island. There are strays on every beach you visit. And, at Potcake Place, they rescue these Potcake mutts and have them up for adoption. But, puppies need a lot of love and, as a tourist, you’re able to take them out and walk them. While I’m all for puppy play, getting up before sunrise in order to do so wasn’t in my book. However, you can still stop in during hours, say hello and purchase a t-shirt as your contribution.
